
MATH110 - Introduction to Statistics
Course Description
This course will introduce statistical investigation. A statistical investigation begins with a research question. Then the investigation proceeds with the following steps: -Produce data: Determine what to measure then collect the data -Explore the data: Analyze and summarize the data (also called exploratory data analysis), -Use probability to understand how samples vary -Draw a conclusion about the population. In this course, we detail and apply these sequenced steps. Your learning will be supported by technology to produce, interpret, present, and draw conclusions from data. Prerequisite: PREREQUISITE: MATH 095 or eligibility for MATH 110 asýdetermined through the Crafton Hills College assessmentýprocess
